I was diagnosed with Fibroadenoma in my right breast about 2 years ago. I had 2 mammograms and an ultrasound. The second ultrasound was 6 months after the first one and it showed that the fibroadenoma grew 2 cm within 6 months. I went to a surgeon for a biopsy he never even examined my breast and he said just leave it it was fine. Well the hospital where I had my mammograms wants me to have a biopsy. Since then it's been about 1 year and I have been getting pain just in my right armpit and never the left one. My doctor said it is probably just from shaving and that he don't feel my lymph node swelling. My breast is hurting to up by the fibroadenoma and the side of my breast and my armpit. And the fibroadenoma lump has gotten bigger then it was. Should I just go back to the hospital where I had my mammogram done and let them do a biopsy? Why does it hurt so bad sometimes. I even went with out shaving and it still hurts. And it is not associated with my cycle. Please help. Scared it might be Breast Cancer. I am 35 years.

Why don't you make an appointment with a surgeon? See what he/she has to say.

Time for a second opinion. This may or may not be breast cancer, but only a biopsy will tell for certain.

At the age of 32 I was in the same boat you are... I did not give up and I searched until I found a doctor that would do a biopsy. It was cancer, that was 12 years ago and I am now healthier than I ever was.

I urge you to find a doctor that WILL do a biopsy.
