Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there are any existing grandparents rights in il?

My son's grandparents are constantly harassing me, but are telling me they have no rights? There son is not currently on my son's birth certificate, but will be soon. I know until he is on there they do not have any rights but what about when he is?

There son has only seen my child one time. I told them I don't want things to be confusing for my son when he gets older so until their son decides whether he wants to be in his life I want to keep my distance. They are very dramatic about everything.

" Illinois passed a law (effective January 2007) providing for grandparent, great-grandparent and sibling visitation under the following conditions": Grandparents' Visitation Rights (http://www.egyptianaaa.org/GRGgrandparentRights.htm)
This law is under constant scrutiny by parties, attorneys, and courts; contact a competent lawyer for an answer to your specific questions.
