I've been coming to this starbucks for the past 4 years and have gotten to know all of the baristas, managers, and have even dedicated a drink here (the historian). I'm usually here once or twice a day... and being mcat prep time, the minute I walk in here around 830, my favorite barista already has a cup ready for me. When I leave for lunch and come back, another barista has a tea ready for me. And around 5 - 6 pm, another barista gives me a cup of coffee.

Studying/working at Starbucks is great. The music is awesome, the coffee aroma is divine, and the people generally are quite entertaining. I love the coffeeshop atmosphere. :)

Wow, that's a lot of coffee. Pretty much all I drink now is water (aside from alcohol). I used to drink soda, but decided that I didn't want to drink any calories, it sounds like a waste. (again, aside from alcohol :p)

Definitely... I can go without coffee with no physical problems (headaches, etc) if I want to, but I just don't want to! I adore the stuff... nectar of the gods in my book.

I cannot believe that... I usually don't do that but today I stopped at Baskin and Robins, had and two scoops on a ice cream cone; one rich chocolate and the other creamy butterscotch. I almost got hit by lightning... seriously. I was in the center lane of a three lane road, it was green/dark from the storm, all of a sudden it was white, and the gas station right next to me BLEW UP. Yes, blew up. I always thought it looked fake when lightning hit a gas station/etc on a movie... now I KNOW it looks real!

Problem is, I can't do most of my arm workout at the gym since it hurts to do any sort of curling motion with my wrist Any suggestions? I was debating working through the pain versus missing the workouts and trying to let it heal. I voted for letting it heal - sound good?

Doing both sounds best for me;)

Biggie, yeah, let it heal first... working it out will only make it worse. I suggest icing it 15 minutes 4 times a day, maybe take some aspirin for the pain (as long as you don't have any blood clotting problems).

If you want to work out without the curling motion, I suggest pullups or cable rows, as it minimizes any curling motion, but it's probably just best to let it sit. It won't kill you to take a few days off.

You're right unky... the problem is, I trade stocks.. . and I didn't wake up in time to do pre-market trades... which means... I lose the opp to make money :(

Regardless, I'm trying to catch up.

I'm also listening to a book on mp3... who knew audiobooks actually work?

Seen the trailers , it looks real good. Their saying Heath Ledger is a good bet for the Oscar for his portrayal of The Joker.

Hm. From the previews and other critic reviews, I'd say... it may be a bit intense (violence and not to mention Ledger's BRILLIANT performance as The Joker may scare some) for a 9 year old... after all, it is PG-13...

But then again, I saw rated R movies when I was 13...

If ledger doesn't get a nomination for an oscar, I will have lost all faith in the oscar system. I mean, seriously, I've seen every preview out there, not to mention, leaked clips... and his portrayal of The Joker is unbelievable. Critically acclaimed as the best villain ever (some say he's comparable to Star Trek II's Khan... some say he's better).

When it comes to movies Jared is very mature.

We had a bad parent moment when Jared was 4, we didn't realize that he had taken the "Jurasic Park" video and watched it. I caught him near the end of the movie. My first thought, great, nightmares. I sat down with him, and asked what he thought of the movie. He said "It's cool". I said, "I don't like you watching this kind of movie, it's not for kids and can be a bit scary". He said "Mom, they're only actors and robots, they're not real, and they don't really die". I said "How do you know that?" he said "Because I saw one of the guys in another movie, and he wasn't dead".

Can't beat the logic of a 4 year old. :)

The shows they have on TV these days are nuts. I pretty much hate anything on TV during "prime time"

TV isn't what it used to be. I miss shows like "Little house on the Prairie", "Three's Company", "The Cosby Show". There's too much violence and not enough plot in most of today's shows. Sad. :(

Oh I loved those shows. Little house on the prairie was one of my favorites, and Threes Company, can not get enough.

I still watch Little house everyday with the kids. They think it's okay, but the graphics could be better. Sad. :);)

Hi all! This is my first trip to the Castle. I haven't had time to run through and see where all the pitfalls are and where the dangers lurk. Any one who would, just caution me... sounds a bit foreboding!! But got to go where my buddies are in case they need me and I see Angel is here so he can watch over and protect!! Until later then, I take my ease in a chair in the main foyer and that is where I will stay with a light by my side, just in case!! :::::::::::::::::: What is this cold feeling of a breeze where there should be none??
