I experience lot of acidity all the day.I try taking some medicine but that does not help. I eat yoghurt since its supposed to be cool and relaxing for the stomach.
Actually I am victim of IBS and anxiety really makes it worse for me. My stomach bloats and I can literally hear the acidic grinds inside my stomach! It feels like the acid is churning and twirling inside.
Can someone suggest something?
Thanks for reading this!

I would suggest seeing your gastroenterologist to examine you just to be safe.

From what you're describing I think that this is just a symptom of IBS and can be treated with antacids which will calm down your stomach and will help with the abundance of acid in your stomach.

I like tc's answer. When normal people have such attacks, I tend to search out a slice of white bread wiithout the crust.

I don't know what medication you have been taking but a few things, you should probably seek medical attention, a GI specialist to rule out other problems. I have acid reflux and I take prilosec , it works great; almost instantly.. unfortunately I have to take them daily.

Thanks.. what exactly is acid reflux? Is it safe to take it or antacids?

We all have a certain amount of hydrochloric acid in our stomach that assists with the digestion process of what we eat. Sometimes the acid goes back up the stomach and heads for the esophagus. It sometimes burns your stomach, throat and chest. This is what's sometimes referred to as acid reflux. The prilosec works like a buffer and it reduces the amount of acid produced, and helps to alleviate the symptoms.

I used to try slices of bread but it didn't work for me. When I took the prilosec it worked so well, that I thought my problem was all in my mind... but whenever I skip taking it I have the acid reflux episodes

A few things, you have to watch what you eat , stay away from acidic foods and s heavy meals.

Best advice is to seek medical care and try not to self medicate. Most of us share our experiences or that of people we know. Many sicknesses mimic each other so please seek professional help.
