What's the best way to deal with indifference? I feel it with certain people and I don't like too, at all.
Its happened as a result of how I have been treated in the relationship. The Holy Spirit keeps on telling me about it but I want it removed. I have really been trying.
How can you help me?

Thanks.

I get the same indifferent feeling at times I know it can be annoying to feel that way. I have noticed after recognizing it as a problem that
You first look within and see IF it is within you by asking yourself WHAT reason they gave you to dislike or feel indifferent toward them?
Nothing. Then you make a conscience effort to get to know them and see the good qualities they possess.
If you still have a bad feeling/indifference for the person after getting beyond your indifferent attitude then maybe it is the Holy Spirit giving you discernment.

What would the Holy Spirit be telling me though?

I believe He may have also been ministering to me about the attitude of that person that they may not know they have. He also said that when we talk there is disparity. I don't have much else revealed to me about it but I personally sense things.

To prevent me from judgement I have been thoroughly dealing with myself first and refuting this indifference which God tells or warns me about constantly, especially when the feelings are about to arise.

I have made every effort to fellowship with them but I experience a massive blockage and barrier, spirtually. They have a very prophetic gift and use it but relationship wise seem very resilient. I have prayed about it because I have only experienced problems with communication and acceptance with this particular person for 4 years in the Church, only. I feel basically that they are very intent on protecting their own feelings.

I know I should just forget about it now though before it gets dangerous for me. It just seems a shame to avoid issues which are so apparent and genuine.

Yes that is true too. That is very often the feeling I get when I feel indifference.
But you still have to start by reflecting on your inner feelings first. Then take it from there

I already replied to a similar post here concerning prophets or self proclaimed prophets.
Some prophets keep their distance so their gift is not influenced by circumstances
Self proclaimed ones are only trying to raise themselves up because they believe they are something they are not.

You have to just keep trying to figure it out all the time
Is it my attitude
Is it their attitude I am picking up on
Is it the Holy Spirit showing you discernment

God doesn't expect you to go out of your way for them. If they are excluding you that is on them.
One of the reasons I got tired of the Church is because they are so Cliquish and it tends to get worse higher up in the Church ranks when that should be the opposite.

You don't have to have an emotional connection to everyone in your life; how exhausting!

Good manners are what is needed to handle social situations smoothly. Practice good manners and they become second nature for you. :)

You choose who you want to have a connection with, and be wise who you select! That makes like a lot happier for you. :)

Perhaps the indifference you say you feel is not really that at all but self preservation.

Humans instinctively feel attraction or rejection to others, however, If you feel stongly abou the indifference... you could attemtpt to cultivate the person's friendship and attention.. if it does not work out, then it was not meant to be.

Revelation 3:15-17 (New Living Translation)
15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, 'I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

Pray for them to be hot or cold, so that Jesus can deal with them. And pray for the Holy Spirit to move through you to reach them.

One can only come to know Jesus by knowing they need Him.

Savedsinnwe7 do you understand that this scripture refer is for one of the seven churches ? God is warning each church of it's deeds being done. Revelation 1:20 points this out at the beginning. Followed by each church being told of their works. KJV Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Yes. I also believe that when God speaks, we should listen. I am a member of the body of Christ and what He writes the Spirit speaks to my soul, to my spirit. We are called to be discerning of what the Spirit speaks. The church in Laodecia is a member of the body of Christ, as are individual members. I take the Word of God to apply to my life personally.
