 My husband has been charged with manufacturing schedule 1, possession of schedule 1, and an indictment for sale of schedule 1, in TN. And just so you know it was mushrooms. He was arrested in March and has only seen the court room once to lower bond (100,000 to 40,000) and to pretty much plead guilty and throw his rights. I have tried to keep in touch with the public defender that was there, but he never returns my calls. I got ahold of the district attorneys office clerk and was told that he would have a plea bargaining on July 7th... which was yesterday and that the indictment would come on July 11th, but yet he won't actually have a court date till Nov. and it turns out that the public defender that I have been trying to keep in touch with isn't actually assigned to his case, no one is. The twist to all of this is, that along with him I was arrested... I was not booked and the only thing I signed was stating that I was read the miranda rights. I only said I wanted to speak with a lawyer and they let me leave. The public defender that was at my husbands court said that he would try to keep them from charging me (supposedly they were going to charge me after my baby was born... which was practically 3mths ago). I've only been able to get ahold of the public defender twice since march and each time it's a 2min phone call with him saying... well you haven't been arrested yet and I'll speak with your husband tomorrow (which he never does). I've heard so many different things through letters from my husband on what he may or may not serve, the lawyer said 8-12 and the cops said 4-8, so I guess I am asking what will he actually serve? Will they still try to charge me and how will I find out if they charged me? And if you have any other information that would be helpful it would be greatly appreciated.
Ok well they had a search warrant for our home. He did not throw me under the bus with him, he took all blame... it was all him. I am pretty sure he let the bus smack right into him since he wanted to make sure I wasn't there with him. Anything else?? I can't really think straight.
