I have a dripping tub spout that I would like to fix. It is a Delta Monitor, single handle style. I figure I have to pull and replace the valve stem, but have no idea how. The stem looks like it is tightly integrated with the plastic sleeve that surround it. Also, am I correct on the part to replace? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Shiloh
After turning the water off to the house (of course), undo the chrome ring and the cartridge will slide out. There are o rings inside that you can replace. You may find a Delta repair kit at Home depot or lows plumbing supply for that model number. Or take the cartridge with you for an exact match.
Also all Delta faucets today have a lifetime warranty against dripping or finish coming off. This means if you call Delta customer service at 800-345-3358 and they will send you the repair parts for free as long as you are the original purchaser, good luck

I had same problem and Delta customer service is still terrifically works. After asking for my name and address, they send me the repair cartridge free of charge. I build the house in 2003 and today is 9/30/2012. You don't need any luck to deal with Delta.
