Okay for the first one:
I am pretty sure it is a version of Thumbelina, but all my searches have failed to turn up the right one. It starts (maybe after an introduction) with a old lady wishing for a daughter. (somehow) She gets a girl to bloom out of this flower. She made her a boat out of a nut shell and let her play around in a bowl. Made a bed out of flower petals, etc. I remember a really gorgeous swing she was on, with bright flowers up and down the 'chains.' Which version is this? :)

And for the second... I believe it also dealt with small creatures. I think a few might have wings? Or maybe they all did. Anyway, I only remember the end scene. All these pods are going to seed--the seeds are these round poofy balls and are floating off into the air. For some reason, that is upsetting and one of the 'fairies' is trying to keep them from leaving--grabbing onto the pods and trying to stop them. Not a lighthearted scene, but chilling, and it stuck with me for the past 15 years.

Tracking down childhood movies can be fun, but also frustrating!

Yeah, but which version? My best way of searching is on You Tube, and it is full of the 1994 version.

Ack, none of them seem the right version. Not 1994, 1993, 1970, the foreign ones...

I am looking for that one too, it is much prettier than the 1994 version, the petals she slept on were a pretty light blue, and she had a best friend that was a huge bumble bee, I want to find it so bad

The only version I can think of is the one where they sing songs such as "let me be your wings" and "if you follow your dreams"
