Hello Everyone,
As I just found this site this is my first time posting.
I am in the process of doing an addition to my home and I am having the electrical service moved as the addition is on an exterior wall. I installed a new 200 amp panel and I need to extend the electrical over to my existing 200 amp panel. I was sold a snap in sub panel lugs which will accommodate 4/0 AL SER and I will treat the old panel as a sub (separating grounds and neutrals, etc). Since the inspector is coming on Monday to inspect for the service, I would like to pass this by him to avoid a headache later on. Any feedback on this as the inspectors around here are for everything (framing, plumbing, etc) and he likes to see things in black and white from the code. I guess what I am asking is can my "service disconnect" at my new panel act as my "overcurrent protection" device feeding the lugs that eventually feed the existing 200 amp sub-panel
