I recently tested with the opk and the line was dark and my husband and I had unprotected sex the night before as we are trying to get pregnant. My question is what are my chances of getting pregnant even if we don't have sex tonight (as he won't be here) I'm feeling as if I'm ovulating but of course one can't always be right on with these things. It's the first day that I tested to see if my lh surge was there so I hope I caught it right on time this month.

Was the line as dark or darker than the reference line? Unlike pregnancy tests, where any line, no matter how faint, is considered positive, with opks seeing a line does not always mean a surge in lh. Once you do detect that darker line, usually ovulation will occur anywhere from 12 to 36 hours... rough range. Having sex on the first day you notice the change helps tremendously because if you wait you may miss an early ovulation. Even better is to use the kits a few months, get a good idea of when you are most likely to be ovulating, and start having sex several days before that time.
If you had sex the night before you saw the line, that is good... obviously include several sessions, if possible, during the next few days. Good luck!
