We are currently in the process of a remodel.. My question is, we are planning on laying down DuraCeramic over a plywood subfloor. Currently the floor has 1/2 linoleum and 1/2 plywood subfloor with glue and backing from glued down carpet.. How do we prep the floor, do we need to tear out the existing linoleum or can we just put a leveling solution where the linoleum meets the plywood? And how in the world do we get the backing from the glued carpet off the plywood? And do we need to remove the glue completely? Is there some type of product that will help in this matter?

You are in a for a bad surprise when you try to remove the glue and backing from the plywood. I recently did a job with carpet glued to cement and had to razor scrape the entire floor, 26 man/hpours. Your tile needs a perefctly flat and hard surface so I'd recommend you look into Hardibacker board 1/4".
