Hi,
I am divorced, and have been for a while. I was married in the U.S and have our decree absolute signed by a judge. Since my husbnd lives in the U.S and we no longer speak. I can't ask him for our decree absolute.
I am getting remarried, I have an appointment with the local council to declare our marriage, where they say that they need to see my decree absolute. Since I don't have it, are there any repercussions for tellinga little white lie, that I have never been married?
After all I am no longer married, is ths just a formality on their part?
Please help!
Thanks!
