:( Migraine before I go to bed. Migraine when I wake up. It's an all the time thing! I can't take it anymore. My physician has given me a medicine to control them, also to control my anxiety attacks. She says it is from the stress I am going through, that's one thing I can believe. But here's my question: Is there anything I could do to control them myself.. change food habits, daily activies, sleep schedule... ANYTHING!
Thank You.
Amanda

Cut out soda, caffeine, all junk foods and prepacked foods with all the preservatives like MSG and BHA. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water. Get on a regular sleep schedule. Keep your lights dim. The new type of bulbs can cause migraines.
Try soaking in a hot bath.
Also take vitamin B complex. B5, 6 & 12 are especially good for stress.
Also take lecithin. Migraine Headaches: Nutritional causes, therapies, remedies & prevention (http://www.acu-cell.com/dis-hea.html)

What medications are you taking Amanda? Some of these supplements can be dangerous with certain meds.

What kind of a doctor are you seeing for the migraines? Are you seeing a neurologist for this problem? Have you had testing done to be sure you don't have a brain tumor, etc? This is important as if you are having true migraines - sensitivity to light, noise, nausea, one sided pounding you need to have this looked at. I had migraines until I was properly treated and the problem corrected. Migraines are usually caused by blood vessels in the head constricting if they are true migraines. You could have severe cluster headaches or tension headaches. Do you generally get them on Saturday mornings worse then during the week? Are they in the back of your head? On the right side? Left side? Above your eyes?

If any of her meds have a B complex etc, it may be overdoing it. It's always best to find out what med they are on before suggesting any supplements.
