Hi

I'am cureently renting a home in the City of Victorville and we discovered that the Landlord got an NOD on May 22, 2008 we confronted her about it but she said that is none of our business she is still paying the regular amount she has been paying all this time and she said that she never got the letter she still wants us to pay her the remaining of June we owe her $400 we don't know if to pay or not? Yesterday night Sunday June 22, 2008 we noticed that someone posted a 3 Day notice to pay rent or quit dated on Thursday June 19, 2008 and attach was the 30-Day notice to quit also dated on Thursday June 19, 2008. How long do we have to answer back to 3-Day notice? She also came by on Saturday June 20.2008 and she took a ceiling Fan plus she wanted to take the stove we told her she couldn't take it because she had rented the place with it and plus she still had not give us the 3-day notice yet. I need to know is she can take items from the premises or not and if she following the Eviction properly or not?

PLEASE HELP! :(

Do you have a written lease? Have you been served? Contact the clerk of court where the 3 Day notice comes from and see what you can find out about a dispossessory suit. If she were to come around again, tell her to leave and call the police. If you are behind on your rent, the landlord can have you evicted.

What is a NOD? Having you been paying rent on time?

What is a NOD?...
I suspect is means 'notice of dispossessory'.
