As in your other threads, barbart, I am posting your images on this thread so that they will more likely to be answered by those who can readily see them on the thread who might be able to provide you with informative as well as substantial information. It really does work better for everyone on this site, if the images could be posted right on the threads.

Thanks!

Did you mean to have the word "Thai" in your original post? From the looks of the outfit style what would appear to be some discoloration of the undergarment on the doll, it would appear to be an antique. Do you know if it's an antique? And, is what I am seeing on the undergarment a discoloration from something that might have originally been white?

Thanks!

Thai was a type. Her undergarments may have been white originally, pretty consistent in color at this point. Her undergarments consist of: a muscle type T-shirt, and a pair of bloomers that tie around her cloth body. Over these is a one piece full body petticoat slip with 2 snaps on the back to hold it in place. The outer dress has 5 buttons (3 are missing).
I know I have seen a doll similair before that was identified by the name of the doll indented in back like this. That much I know "Grace" is the her name. But there are no other markings we can find on her.
I am hoping someone can identify maker.

I have searched all the links-sites suggested, I do know this is a China doll and was made between 1850- 1870. The key to identifying her however is that most of these dolls were unmarked. She has a mark " Grace" on her upper back and there was a company that 'named' their China dolls this way. Can anyone tell me what company?

It seems these are termed as China head dolls, but made by a German company.See the similarities in the following link.
