Did the people of Oka have any specific evidence of their claim to the disputed area.

Do you mean Oklahoma in the 1800s? How about the fact they lived there and had for maybe thousands of years?

Reminded me of a t shirt I saw last weekend.

I've almost ordered that one several times. There's a similar one with the caption "Original Founding Fathers."
