Back in Feb. I got married to a UK national. I sent off the I-130 back in the beginning of May, only to have it returned because I didn't know they had changed the location to the lockbox in Chicago.

Anyway, so no paperwork has been filed at this moment and me and my spouse are looking at the best way to advance with this move. Ideally, he would like to move to America. Also ideally I would like to see him in a few months, not 6 or 12 months down the road.

So any advice on the best way to proceed with the paperwork? Would it be me moving under some visa for a wihle to the UK while the I-130 is processed - would it be just sucking it up and filing the I-130. Having him come over to visit for a while, say aurevoir once again and then filing the paperwork...

Any advice, please?

Start filing I-130 now... it takes about 4 months for the case to be approved and transfered to US embassy in UK. He can enter US on visa waiver program while waiting BUT do not overstay ever. It will jeopardize your application and if that happens, you will definitely need an attorney.
