Hi Everyone,

I rented an office in downtown miami 6 month ago. Since that period building has been in remodelation and I suffered those months of delays (15min) in elevators, humidity, noise, smoke and other problems that gives me bad image form my clients. Some clients don't come to visit me because of this remodelation problems. I still have 7 more months of rent and I want to move.

Because these reasons can I drop my lease contract. Any law protecting me to lose my business because their lack of services and noise? I would like to know which Florida law protect me from this...

Thanks,

Miguel

Have you notified the landlord BY CERTIFIED MAIL of the problems you are experiencing, asking that they be corrected, stating that circumstances between when you changed the lease and today have changed, making it difficult if not impossible to run a business from this location?

That's step number one.

Were you made aware of the remodeling project when you signed the lease?
