My cat gave birth this morning and I notice that around her nipples there is a lump and the nipples are hardly noticiable can someone please help me why this is so?

If if begins to feel hard and feverish have her checked for mastitis

It may some kind of rash or mastitis. If the lumps don't go away, I would suggest going to the vet.
