Hi

I am Indian citizen and was employed during my OPT from Feb 17th 2004 to June 2004 , from July 2004 I am on my H1B . While I was on my OPT my SSN and Medicare was dedicated , and I was told by the employer to claim the money from IRS . I have submitted all the necessary documentation along with Form 843 to IRS last year . I didn't get any response from IRS and in spite of numerous phone calls to IRS I was never directed to the right person . I have filed all my taxes so far on time , in 2004 since I was on dual status , I filed forms 1040 NR and 1040 .

I have no idea where to follow-up . Any response on this would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks
Mahesh

Hi

Thanks for the prompt info.

I have one more doubt,

When I mail to IRS,
Is there a mailing for each state?

I stay in CA now.
Could you please tell me the mailing address for CALIFORNIA ?

Thanks a lot
