I've got Power DVD 5.0 and every time I try to play a Copyright Protected DVD, I get the error message "TV out port not configured properly", with the details being "Can't play copyright protected DVDs with TV out function enabled". I have looked in the WinME help and support page. My graphics card is a Cirrus Logic 5446 Compatible Graphics Adapter PCI128 with ONLY a 15-pin hook-up, monitor hook-up. My sound card is a Creative Labs CT4740 with 4 headphone type jacks, two for speakers, one for mike in, one for radio in? and a joystick/MIDI port. How can I get these movies to play?

This message will come up when you use old or unsupported video drivers with older versions of PowerDVD.

Check your manufacturer's website for the latest video drivers for your system. If your stuck, these drivers might work for you: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/prolinea/us/download/379.html

It also may be necessary for you to upgrade to PowerDVD 6. Older versions of PowerDVD would sometimes incorrectly detect the standard video output as a TV out connection with certain video drivers.

I looked at PowerDVD5.0 system requirements, and it needs at least a Pentium II 350 MHZ processor, mine is a Pentium II 333 MHZ, plus PowerDVD XP 4.0 is what came on the CD with the drive's drivers. That CD has been missing from my parents house for 2 months BEFORE I moved out, I know XP 4.0 will work without this error message, but without the disc, I can't do anything, right? I got a house call by some supposed "govt" officials telling me that free device driver software downloads or updates, even from manufacturers websites, are illegal, even if they are offered by the device manufacturer. Is this true, or is it some people trying to beat me so I am stuck in the land of VHS?
