Where do I start? I got my financial aid all paid off = unwillingly - they took my taxes- which is fine - at least it's gone, but now what? How do I get anything else paid quick and possibly cheaper? As everyone else anymore - we do struggle. 2 paychecks and 2 kids doesn't quite make it all the time.

Make a budget and stick to it. Try and work out lower interests with your creditors to reduce the payments needed. Pay off higher interests debts first.
Seek help from a credit counselor.

Yes and maybe you can cut back on things like cable, cell etc and apply what you pay on those each month towards reducing some of your debt. Maybe you can get a part time job to help out. I know its hard especially now but like ScottGem said make a budget and stick to it and try for lower interest rates.

You can also look into a debt consolidation loan. Talk to your bank or local credit union.

On an optimistic note, find Dave Ramsey's dvd on Debt, part of a larger series; maybe at your local library. If you are unable to get creditor cooperation, then use Chapter 13 bankruptcy and pay creditors at 100%.

I think you should get a credit report and study it and find the lowest amount owed and try to pay one at a time. Call some of the places on your credit report and try to settle some of your bills. Or make payment agragements so it can show on your credit report that your paying, I hope that helps! And try not to get into any other debt.

First you get a budget and live by it, you get rid of all of your credit cards except perhaps one you lock away for an emergancy,
You cut any unneeded expenses.
