I have eight 21/5 week old part Lab puppies - at what age can I feed them and what?

There are others on this site with much more knowledge of nutrition that me, hopefully they will answer you also. I start to offer softened puppy food (soaked in water, then mushed up) around 3 weeks old. Use a big flat pan. The puppies will have more on them than in them to begin with, but they will get better, and mom will really enjoy cleaning them up!

''There are others on this site with much more knowledge of nutrition that me,'' I have to disagree. In general since some of us have left, Carolbcac is giving the best answers I see when I drop in.

I haven't been a member of this forum for long, but I will surely second that assertion, labman. It is very clear to me that carol is a true asset to this site. She gives smart, thoughtful answers, she never loses her cool, and she has already done me a tremendous amount of good by calming many of the concerns I've had as a new-puppy-owner-to-be. I can only hope more people of her caliber join - and stick with - this great section of the site. Thanks for giving me an excuse to compliment her! :)
