Help!! I'm in starvation mode. I severely reduced my calorie intake to under600cals. I have been eating 600cals for ages, lost a little weight, but found that I compensated with little cals by binging. Now if I eat a little more than 600cals I gain weight. What should I do??

Starving yourself is not a way to good health, shape, or form. Period. Your body is now trying to survive. Your metabolism is completely in the dumps. Your body is now channeling every calorie that it can into storage.

Time to work you way out of this... and, like it or not, you will likely gain some to get where you need to be for sustainable healthy living.

Sustainable fitness and weight control comes through good nutrition (a good diet, not severely restrictive), good exercise, good sleep. Take a multivitamin. Reduce stress.

Time to reset and start again. That you will add some lbs is just a part of correcting for your bad decision to starve yourself. You can work your way out of it, but not without changing how you think.

Time to find some balance. You might need to take three steps back, but its needed for you to progress forward.

Why did you choose such a restrictive diet? How old are you? What is your goal? Fitness? etc... explain how you got to this place...

600 calories a day?? It is recommended that the minimum amount of calories you should consume a day is 1200, and that is considered a very strict diet. Losing weight and keeping it off is a lifestyle change. Reducing portion sizes and exercising regularly for a couple months should change your whole outlook on weight loss. Your body will get used to eating less so dicipline yourself into eating less and exercising more.

Starving will only hurt a diet, you do need to use more calories than you take in, If you are having trouble, see a doctor and get on a proper diet
