Hi,

I have applied for H1 but am not aware of the status yet hence decided to apply for F1. I am currently on H4 and want to transfer to F1. I did contact the local community college regarding this and got the directions to apply for F1, but the college does not offer any program higher to associate program which is lower to the bachelors degree. If I get the F1 status from them will it be possible for me to apply for H1 in 2009. Please do reply for this.

If you already have a bachelor degree, community college is not the right choice... you'd better enroll in grad school.

Why do you want to transfer to F-1 if you are not going to study... both F-1 and H-4 are not allowed to work.
If your employer is willing to sponsor visa for you, this can be arranged either you are H-4 or F-1. It does not make any difference.
