Can a convicted Felon get Financial Aide or Student Loans?

They can apply for most grants and student loans like anyone else.
They need to talk to the aid department of the school they are going

I know that they can't get like the Pell Grant for sure.. the others I am unsure.

Actually convicted felons can get financial aid, including the Pell Grant, as long as they were not convicted of a drug-related felony.

I was convicted of a felony in 2005 at the age of 19 while I was in college. I was paying for my education with financial aid. I was told since I now had a felony I would not be able get approved for financial aid again until my record was expunged or pardoned. After all this time I thought there was no hope for me. I was shocked to find out I was very misinformed. I am now enrolled back in school
