Hi, I have been reading several of your post and a lot of them are helpful but I want to get specific on my trouble. My master bath is about 15 feet from the washing machine. Our machine overflowed about a month ago and we thought it was going out (10 yrs old) so we bought a new one. Now, when the machine drains out, suds fill up our master toilet. There is also some bubbling in the toilet. Maybe the machine wasn't the problem. Could there be a clog or is the vent clogged? When not doing laundry the toilet seems to flush OK.

I would think that you main sewer line from your house to the city sewer is partial stopped up, not enough to run over the commode but enough for the suds to be pushed up into the commode. Have you not noticed suds in any other of your fistures, like the shower or tub.

A good snaking of the main sewer line should correct the problem.

To help this problem I would advise that you use a low sudsing washng detergent.

The problem was with the main community sewer line. Now I won't have to snake anything.
