Hey.

Okay, so march 2007 (when I was 19) I was driving drunk and crashed into a wall on the freeway. No one else was included in all this. I was caught and the cops did that sobriety test and of course... I failed.

I ended up getting a lawyer and he got everything dismissed, but my license was still suspended in July 2007.

I'm due to get my license back in July this year... I'm turning 21 in 10 days... is there any way of getting a restricted license? And would I have to do any classes to make sure I get my license back?

Thanks!

Most areas will give a limited license ( it is not a license as much as a conidtion from the judge and a court order to allow you to drive to work, or to school or to and from a certain place at a certain time.
Your attorney could or should have made that motion for you in court.

If the entire DUI case was dismissed ( unless you refused to do the breath test or blood test) but if the entire case got dismissed, your attorney can also make request to DMV to re-instate your license.

If you refused to take a breath test, the license stlll stays suspended even if case is dismissed.

I took the blood test and breath test that night. I did whatever they told me I had to do. And they didn't even put me in jail because I have asthma.
