Ok, I'm new to this site, but I can't find an answer any where on the web.

I have been on YAZ for 15 months now. In March I started my period one week early but it was only brown. I stayed on my period for 2 1/2 weeks and the whole time it was brown. I cramped really bad and that was the first time I have probably cramped in a year or so.
In April I started one day late and I cramped for the entire 1 1/2 weeks. It started brown then red (while it was red I was having to change my tampon every 1 -2 hours) and back to brown.
I started May 1, right on time but again brown. And the cramps continued throughout the week.
May 17, I start again. Brown discharge. It has continued and still today it is brown. I should officially start May 29. I have had cramps the entire week and a half since May 17. My family nurse told me to start my new pack since I've been basically having a period and now I'm on day 4 of the new pack still having this brown discharge.
I need to add that this brown discharge is not heavy. Well, at least not every day. I can wear a liner and do fine -other days I have used a tampon. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, I didn't get any responses. But for those of you who may have a similar problem I would suggest going to your doctor. I called my gyn and the nurse said, oh you just need to change your because. Well, that didn't satisfy me, so I called my family doc. She did a culture, and I ended up having an infection. She said I probably had it for the last couple of months and it was causing me to bleed. Anyway, she put me on an antibiotic and the brown discharge slowly went away.

I'm glad to hear that you are okay. Sometimes it takes us a while to get you an answer, this isn't a chatroom and the experts aren't always on line. We do this because we want to help people, we all have regular lives and jobs and can't always be here. Sorry that you didn't get a response this time, but don't give up. :)
