My husband and I are legal immigrants from Canada and have been in the USA since 1963.
We would like to know if one when one of us passes away what problems we could have with our estate as far as taxes etc. or any other legal problems.

Thank you Kelowna

Well it all depends on what you have as far as taxes go, but I can tell you that if you are which you should be citizens of the usa, you should be treated as all americans do.

As permanent residents in US, there is nothing different from US citizens in terms of estate, inheritance, taxes, etc. You will go through normal procedures like all of us.

For convenience and to avoid spending $$ plus many months on probate court, consult your attorney.
