After my CPU and motherboard have been replaced I can't connect to my WLAN @ home.
Other computers have no problem connecting.
I have no security enabled.
When I click "Connect" I get a screen "General settings" where I enter profile name and SSID (both are "NETGEAR", the same I use for other PC's). Then I click "Next" and I get a popup telling me that the profile name already exists (probably because I already used it on my laptop with my old motherboard and corresponding MAC address?) and the question if I want to continue and replace the profile.
- When I choose Yes I am quoted for a password for the profile. I can't get past the authentication. I never set a password for the profile. I tried admin, NETGEAR and an empty password but no success
- When I choose No I can enter a new profile name. I then get an "internal error when saving/updating the profile".
It seems that, because I have no security enabled, everyone can now connect to my network except me!
Help anyone?
