Hello I have Dual citizenship and live in USA but want to move to and live in France,
What would be my rights in France? Would I beable to get any help from the french Gov
And would I have to start from scratch for my french retirement.My Fiancé is french and we have a child together and he was born in the USA
And has his Dual citizenship.We are 30 and 40 years young.She worked in France for a little while I have never worked in France.
We just need to no what our status would be.

What retirement benefits are you asking about? I don't think the French Government is going to just hand you retirement benefits - if so, I'm moving there immediately.

You can't be employed in France and pay into US Social Security so if that is your concern, yes, you're starting over.

You are eligible for employment and other benefits like all residents, but in regards to retirement benefits, you have to start from zero.
