I just bought a 2006 Airstream Land Yacht. I have a '05 PT Cruiser automatic transmission car. How can I safely tow this vehicle?

Probably not with the PT Cruizer.

You'll need to confirm the weight of the Land Yacht and check your Cruizer's manual for it's towing limits.

PS... just found for the '04 PT Cruiser:

Towing/Payload Capacity: PT Cruiser's payload capacity is 865 lbs. Trailering capacity is 1000 lbs. with a maximum tongue weight of 100 lbs.

... so now you just need the total weight and tongue weight of the Land Yacht - assuming the towing limits are about the same for your PT.

Use a car dolly, PT are front wheeel drive, by use of the car dolly you will be running on the rear wheels of the PT cruiser.

Mr. Yet rocks!

Wow, that baby's WAY to heavy to be towed by a PT Cruiser!

Sorry, mazzie.:o

Thanks, Mr. Yet! The other guys thought I was crraaazzzyyy for trying to tow a 30' Land Yacht!! I will look up tow dollies to purchase for towing of the PT CRUISER. I appreciate all of the answers, some were amusing, but hey, by spending the money on a Land Yacht, I need some laughs! Again, thanks to ALL!

Rick cracks me up, I had to wait on this to see what happens.

(I won't admit I thought the same thing until I looked your RV up)

The dealer you bought the RV from, or any RV dealer, should have everything you need to tow the PT. I believe they will also train you how to connect the two, and what needs to be done to the PT during towing.

Including a rear view camera with monitor to see how things are going back there, would be helpful in backing up too. I checked your rig but did not notice if a rear cam comes with it stock or as an option.

Ok, I'm a dunce... and with humility I'll leave my dunce response there. :o :o

I see now.

Yep, the car dolly is exactly what you need to tow the PT with the LY.

mazzie, have a wonderful time in your new Land Yacht!

I believe the PT Cruiser can be towed "4 wheels down". I have looked at all of the vehicles that you can tow from the factory "4 wheels down". ( this means you do not need a dolly)
I know someone that tows a PT with their motorhome.

Go to any motorhome magazine website and query "toads", this is the term the use for vehicles that can be towed, "4 wheels down"
