Yes, I have had the blue screen of death for a few months now. I have tried numerous stupid things but they don't seem to work It hadn't happened for a few weeks until today, it happened again.

I have the error reports for it if that helps. Is there anyting I can do?

Yes, post the detail of the error, also, what do you do to cause it - anything in particular or is it totally random?

The BSOD can be various problems from drivers to memory to software etc. As much info as possible please! (without being daft of course:D )

I have not noticed a pattern of anything that I have done to cause it. It seems to be totally random.

When I get the blue screen, the only info that may not be standard is this:

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Stop: 0x000000D1 (0xE1F7A7FC, 0X000000FF, 0X00000000, 0XFF6FD9B5)

Then, after I reboot, a screen will pop up saying that the system has recovered from a serious error. When I click to view error details, I get this info:

Error Signature:

BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : E1F7A7FC BCP2 : 000000FF BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : FF6FD9B5 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

Thank you very much... any advice would be greatly appriciated!

I would initially check the drivers in the system. Try to find the latest updates for as many as possible. To help with this try Aida32, it will check your system and help you identify the components of your PC

Hmmm... okay, I have the program but I am not sure what to do with it. I can't really find anything that lists "drivers" specifically. Any idea where to look and what to look for?

(sorry... this is not my area of expertise lol)

Open the "computer" section on the left side and select the "summary" subfolder
This should detail the components in your system. Hover your mouse over the blue values and the display should show you if there is a driver to download for this item.

Ok, the only ones that I can download are for the Motherboard Chipset. I have Intel Brookside-G i845GL. (The only other ones that havve the Driver Download option are no longer available.)

My options to download are: Graphics Driver (which I already downloaded), Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility (which has a few options so Im not sure which one to download), and Intel® Application Accelerator (which I also downloaded).

Do you think this may have solved it??

Time will tell whether this is solved, it's just a useful place to start when troubleshooting these errors to try and make sure you have the latest drivers. The components that didn't have download links will probably have drivers available on the internet - just search using their description to find the drivers.
