I haven't had a period for the month of April and I took a preanacy test the other day the day after I was surpose to start my cylce but it was negative. I was told by someone that there my not be enough protein in my urine from the baby for the test to determine if I'm pregnant.:)

The hormone that the test picks up is hcg... and it is possible that levels were not high enough... for some women it can take several weeks. Usually, however, it will be picked up when a period is late... for some women even a few days before. See what happens in the next several days and try another test if need be. Your cycle could just be off as well. If still no period, and the test is negative, you could ask your doctor about getting a blood test done.

Or go to a doctor and get a blood test..!
