Hello,
I have a beautiful mix lab that I rescued from a friend that wasn't taking good care of it.
I used to take my dog to the beach every time I went surfing. He really loves the beach, at times he would not want to leave because he was enjoying himself so much.
One time he got in to a fight with another lab and, then with other dogs on the beach. Then one day he attacked a smaller dog, and now so he sees a small dog he wants to attack it.
I stopped taking him to the beach because I don't want to risk him harming a smaller dog.
It breaks my heart to see him getting exited every time I take my surfboard out in the morning, he still thinks I am taking him to the beach.
I took him to a trainer and tried to change the behavior with no success.
If I neuter him do you think he is going to stop being aggressive towards other dogs? He is 2 years old. Do you think he might be too old to change?
I also need him to stop barking at night, sometimes I have to let him inn so he stops bothering my neighbors.
Thanks!
William Scott
