Hi I'm doing some coursework for my GCSE's at the moment and I was wondering if you could send me a detailed summary about the resistance in a wire when the length is changed. I already know that resistance doubles etc. but is there anything else? Please HELP!!

Resistance in the wire doubles when length increases, resistance halves when length decreases. Resistance is also based on how much current is flowing at the time, more current, less resistance. AKA more push

Hi, Sarah,
Here is a link:
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electric/resis.html
It has a good explanation of wire resistance, equations, and some info about the Coefficient of Temperature, which is different for different wire material.
Best of luck, and have a great day.
