My boyfriend is trying to remember a wheat harvesting movie he used to watch when he was younger and I imagine it was made in the 80's. I have just been searching the internet for the last hour and cannot even come close to what he described to me.
He says the movie is about a farmer getting ready for the wheat harvest and they follow the wheat fields from southern united states all the way up to Canada. The kicker of the movie is that all of the men that usual help for some reason won't help in this movie and he has to hire a bunch of boys (a knock off The Cowboys with John Wayne) and he has all these young boys running his combines to get to all the wheat fields that are available whenever they are available. He is teaching all of these boys (who have never ran a combine) to run combines while trying to get to every field to combine to beat the other farmers looking for wheat fields to combine as well. Can anyone help me find the title to this movie and stop my headache from looking. He doesn't remember the title or who was in it. I know, lots of help.

It's a great movie, in my opinion. I used to watch it all the time during Ag class in school.
