Can I ask two?
1. Will I get less wet walking, or running, in the rain?
2. Surely there are more birds, and other critters, than humans on this planet... and surely they die of old age. So why don't we see dead animals lying all over the place?

1. Will I get less wet walking, or running, in the rain?
Hey a little bit of radio-active acid rain never hurt anyone so why rush ;)
2. Surely there are more birds, and other critters, than humans on this planet...and surely they die of old age. So why don't we see dead animals lying all over the place?
Now then lets think about this.
The Earth is covered by 70% water and a further 20% is either uncharted or barren, 10% is not livable and 5% is built on.
So as this is more than 100% you will never see another living or dead thing ever and the ones you do see are a figment of your deranged imagination.

Why was there an incomplete rainbow in the sky yesterday and it was -10 out with snow on the ground?
What is the best gift you could think of to give to a special valentine or what would be your best gift?
What is the best way to lose weight?
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe Prayer works? In Healing and other things?
Have you ever seen a lightning storm in a middle of a snowstorm? Yes or no. I have.
Okay that's all for now.

Why was there an incomplete rainbow in the sky yesterday and it was -10 out with snow on the ground?
What on earth were you doing outside on such a cold day. You should have been tucked up in front of a roaring fire, hot toddy in hand.
What is the best gift you could think of to give to a special valentine or what would be your best gift?I'm not allowed to have special valentines any more, the wife won't let me.
What is the best way to lose weight?Hang on I'll tell you in a minute
Do you believe in God?BANG out with the deep meaningful questions. Now look what you've gone and made me do, I'll have to clear that up before I can continue. That's better now where was I , oh yes next question.
Do you believe Prayer works? In Healing and other things?Well I keep praying for a new car, pay rise, big house with swimming pool and it hasn't worked yet.
Have you ever seen a lightning storm in a middle of a snowstorm? Yes or noOK so paint me into a corner then just to see if I'll answer well I've run out of ideas now so the answer is...

Just "stole" this off the web,as curlyben is probably fast asleep:
Sundogs are visible when the sun is near the horizon and on the same horizontal plane as the observer and the ice crystals. As sunlight passes through the ice crystals, it is bent by 22 degrees before reaching our eyes, much like what happens with 22 degree halos. This bending of light results in the formation of a sundog. But you knew that anyway. He he.
Why are they called this? I have no idea. :D

Wow that's a long time with no snow! I actually like snow too, but I wish it wouldn't get so cold here! Actually this winter has been very mild (still lots of snow though). Apparently Siberia and other parts of northern Europe are getting the cold weather we were supposed to get.

They are pretty cool! Notice how they form an arc? That's especially cool to see, but usually the arc is too big and so you just see the dogs on either side of the sun in a straight line. Kind of like you don't always see the whole rainbow I guess.
I thought I'd share a northern lights picture as well. It's not very large, but you get the idea. It was taken in east central Saskatchewan, a couple of hours drive from where I live. The colors are not static btw; they actually move and "dance" across the sky!

I'm not sure... maybe northern BC? I think they're generally more northerly, although I've heard you can see them further south occasionally. Here is the riddle:
You are locked in a room with only two doors and two robots (hmmm, one even kind of resembles Ben too! ) and you only know these two things - one door leads to freedom, one to certain death AND one robot always tells the truth, one always lies.
You are permitted to ask one robot one question only to escape. What do you ask?
DrJ
Jun 16, 2006, 01:27 PM
Since a few days have passed, Im going to take a stab at this one...
I would ask both robots "what door will the other robot tell me leads to freedom?"
The truth telling robot will tell the truth by telling me that the liar robot will tell me it's the door on the right (which leads to certain death).
The liar robot will lie by telling me that the truth robot will tell me it's the door on the right (which still leads to certain death).
Therefore, I would go out the door that neither of them mentioned in their answer.
That one is AWESOME!
Ok, this isn't a riddle but I still want a yes or no answer to it...

If you were locked in a room with 2 robots, one that cannot lie and one that always lies… in this room are 2 doors, one that leads to freedom and one that leads to certain death. You don’t know which robot is which, or which door is which. You get to ask one question. What can you ask that will result in you finding the way out regardless of which robot you ask?
