If the medicine they gave you is something like Azo Standard (little red pills) yellow urine will be a result. It actually is pretty bright almost orange. Also, make sure you are drinking enough because you don't want to be dehydrated!

It could be the medicine. I had uti's with all my children, but if you are worried it isn't good for you or the baby so make a call to your dr and ask. Better to feel relief and know everything is OK from the dr than take a strangers word for it.Its OK to not know all the answer and need help.Don't be embarresed to ask the dr its never a stupid question if the answer puts your mind at ease.

1. If your doctor knows you are pregnant, he would not give you anything to risk the baby's health.
2. Some medicine given for Urinary Tract Infections are for the burning sensation and pressure that you feel due to the infection - and those usually result in the color change. It's a light anesthetic that works in the Urinary Tract. Cranberry juice also helps. You should also have been given antibiotics.
3. If you don't take the medication it is possible that your infection will not fully go away and can rest and come back stronger at a later time, and might cause damage to your kidneys as well.
And, follow the advice already given, drink lots of liquids, and talk to the doctor again for reassurance.
