I have just tried to connect my daughters wii to the internet using a bt voyager 2500v wireless router. The wii recognises the router but when it tries to test the internet connection the test fails and it shows the following error message " could not automatically obtain IP address"
I am now unsure what to do next to correct the problem. Could anyone help please?

I am unfamiliar with the specifics of both products, but I may be able to point you in the right direction. The wii is expecting to get an IP address assigned from a DHCP server. You can either configure the router to provide DHCP services if it supports doing so, or manually assign a static ip address to the wii if possible. Online support is at Nintendo Customer Service - Wii Online Connection & Feature Support (http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/online.jsp)

Im a nerdy kid so I might be able to answer your question. Don't use the router! Just de activate the voyager router and go to the Wii channel. Usually there would be a connection built into the wii. If not try to read the user manual.

My boyfriend and I shared same password. I used to signed on his internet account. Can he still open his internet even if I am signing in on his account?
