Hi there, have you tried the place that you were adopted out of? The chances are that he will have gone from there also?

There is also a UK birth adoption register (UK Birth Adoption Register (http://www.ukbirth-adoptionregister.com/?gclid=CN2g65r93pICFRvs1AodCS7X-g))
I also believe that the Salvation Army help in searches.

Good luck in your quest

The free way is to post on open adoption sites, giving as much info as you have, hoping someone will recognize that info and respond.

There are many charities that can offer this service to you as well as some private companies. The charities include Salvation Army and the http://www.redcross.org.uk/What-we-do/Finding-missing-family

If you want to locate the person yourself you could use 192.com, if you wanted to use a service in the UK to locate someone then you could try this service http://www.findermonkey.co.uk/family-search

Good luck with whatever way you decide to proceed.
