Hello,

I hope someone maybe able to answer this most complexed question.

I met a man in 1982, we both where in the Marine Corp at different tours. I am a few years older than him. Let me cut to the chase, he visited a family that I know and met their duaghter and she became pregnant by him.

Of course she was just as irresponsible as was he, so we just can't blame the man. However he made a commitment to support the child while stationed at Alameda Naval base. Suddently when he got out of the service, he stopped paying child support, not surprisingly when
His authorities said the young ladys child was number 14 of other children he had by other woman, oddly he was married at that time.

Nearly twenty years later a friend highered her an attorney, the boy from the young lady is 24 years old now. The man was found to be worth 40 million dollars and through simple online reseach it was found that the 24 year old boy had siblings living all around his town that he did not even know about, Okay question how would the California courts handle this lawsuit since he has on occastions missed court dates and let me add he has been married several times and have at least 7 kids that are from 6 years old to 26 and only a few are persuring lawsiuts and just recently a 23 year old lady is still looking for him after her mom decided to divorce him 19 years ago and to have nothing to do with him, her daughter does not even have a picture of her dad?

If you are trying to get back child support you can't unless maybe he is going to college. Then he might be able to get some support and college money from him.

I can only guess at what the courts would do. If there was ever a child support order through the courts, and it sounds like that is the case, then that amount of back support might still be collectible.

I assume the father is still living? I'm not sure that his current net worth would be a factor, unless there is an estate of some sort to be divided. I'm curious to hear other answers to this question.

You never know what the courts are going to say. But if n9ne of the cases have even been brought before the courts they may be thrown out. If there are arrearages involved then they may try to collect but those have to already be ongoing.
How many exactly does he have because the way it reads he is responsible for 21 children ?

For any children under the age the state says is a minor then the mothers can go to enforce child support but it is harder once they are of age.

Well sounds like he took the part of the bible "be fruitful and multipy" as a personal mission in life.

Child support collection has statue of limitations, so after a point one can only collect for so for back, If there was a reason to believe that income changed or money in bank changed, then a motion to admend past orders can be made and "may" be allowed.

As to what courts do, flip a coin, it is always hard to say.
But a court will not less likely to have favor to someone who did all of this,

Oneguyinohio,

This lady was getting, child support by the father, the dead beat then changed jobs, social security numbers, used his mother maiden name plus others and when found was ordered to increase his child support that he had not paid in years the amount was to be $1,500 per month and then suddently fled. She received government support for a few years until she was able to find a job to support her child, this man paid some $35,000 back to the state wellfare and again vanished for 19 years until her attorney found him and begin to find his assets.

How is it going, I always get your comments,

Listen remember what happened to King Solomom?

Yes, you are right, this man has abandoned many kids by being friutful and mutiplying but not after giving them his mothers maiden name and seeing the child before seeking to spread his seed around. He has a pattern but never seemed to ever have been abusive to any woman he'd just not show up. You can do a lot of things when you have money and good attorneys.
