I have a 2 year old child. The father hasn't been in her life only to pay child support. And recently hasn't paid anything. He does not want to see her. He has never asked to have her for a couple hours a day or anything. She doesn't know who he is. I want to get full custody of her without him being able to suddenly get into her life. He is unstable, with having woman in and out of his life and house. Not suitable for a child to be in that situation. And I recently asked him to sign over all rights to me since he hasn't been there at all. And he said yes. How do I go about getting all rights without him being able to see her at all?

It doesn't sound like he will ever be interested in seeing or wanting her and you really can't have his his rights signed over.

If you could sign over rights then all the deadbeat dads would be doing that so they didn't have a problem with not paying child support. The system doesn't want to end up with a ton of kids the state has to support because the dads rights were signed away.

Of course you and he realise that giving up rights will not stop his responsibility of paying child support. Normally this changes the mans mind of signing, But normally unless he gives up his rights to allow you to have a new partner to adopt, even if he signs over rights now, * not for adoption** he can come back and still try and get visits rights ( it is hard but a pro father judge can do about anything they want)
So it sounds like you have it the way you want to, he is not around already.
