A lot of commercial DVD's come packaged with a player already.
Also Windows Media Player can play them as well.

Well I'm trying to play this, it installed interactual player for me and then said this:
'Error PL4013: Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. You may be using an unsupported display mode or your system may not have a working decoder installed. Please ensure that your DVD decoder is functioning properly by launching it from Start | Programs. Click “Help Online” for details on how to correct this problem'.
Not sure what to do about it.

Uninstall that program and make sure your Windows Media Player is updated, it should play your DVD just fine as Ben mentioned.
