I have lost the instructions to install my ceiling fan. It is a Item #: 5183 Model: ANL44WW5C Harbor Breeze. It has two ways to install and I don't have a clue how to put it up. Please let me know if you know.
Thanks

Not sure about the model you have, But many require 3 of the 6 top fan screws(every other one), then put Canopy in place, and tighten the 3 screws, some have a red colored Locktite type stuff on screws to help keep from loosening, and or use the locknuts provided. Some will have a hook in mounting plate to hang fan through hole while making connections.
Black is fan, and blue or black/white is light.

It can be dual mounted. Just screw the canopy directly to the top of the motor using the screws and holes provided. You may need to remove the decorative cover from the bottom of the canopy.

Ceilingfan makes a good point that the little plastic piece has to be removed to allow screws through canopy.

Birdie 2006 - Did this help you? I am trying to do the same thing and given the parts I have, I do not see how the responses given will work.

Not all fans have flush mount ability. Easy way to tell is if the Canopy has a plastic ring that fills the holes when not flush adapted. You have to look VERY close and pull ring off.
