For the past 2 days, my vagina has been in constant pain. It is red, irritation is most likely, but it does not hurt when I urinate. I also haven't noticed a change in discharge.

Could this be a yeast infection?

You NEED to go to the doctor.

RIGHT now.

We can't diagnose you over the internet, but what you are describing is NOT right, and you need to see a medical professional about it.

I don't really know what it could be, but it would be wise to visit a doctor.

Have you been riding a bicycle?

No, no bikes.

Getting to a doctor is all but impossible. I have school then work and seriously limited funds. Any ideas on what it could be?

It could be so many things, I won't even go into it.

Do you really think your job or your school would miss you for a couple of hours?

There are any number of clinics that will give you a gynecological exam for free or based on a sliding scale fee.

Make an appointment. Is it worth losing the ability to have kids? Is it worth not treating a disease? Or ending up in the hospital because you didn't treat something that could have been handled with antibiotics in early stages?

Understood.

Honestly, I'm 18 and have only had one sex partner, my boyfriend of a year. Quite frankly my parents would kill me if they found out. And since I work for my dad, I know I'd be missed.

And I was just at Planned Parenthood for an exam last month (for other problems I've come to these boards for help with--only to find out I'm perfectly healthy) and it set me back 80 bucks that I'm just now catching up on.

This is all just so frustrating and I definitely can't deal with all the complications that come along with sex, it just isn't worth it for me.

I suffer this, I thought I was all alone, however I recently discovered I am not. I think mine comes from lack of foreplay, being the female, you need to be really loose, relaxed, wet and ready for sex, basically if I do not orgasm before penetration I can feel the penis rubbing, and hopefully you should know the ins and outs of protection, so therefore I hope you two are using a condom at the least, but these can tend to rub during penetration, causing a sort of raw and irritated feeling down there. So therefore your options are going to get it checked out, or leaving sex for a while to let it settle then try for the more foreplay and get a good lube to help with natural wetness.
Good luck.

Well, I am guessing that it just isn't worth it to suffer some sort of horrible disease because you are making excuses not to go to the doctor... whether or not you have the time, or the funds... that is what NEEDS to be done. GET IT DONE!

Honey, time cures all ills, as the expression goes... but in this case...

You do understand that many women get diseases and can never have children when they are older and so inclined?? Not to mention the terrible course of the illness called syphilis??

If your crotch hurts, you should know why, I would think, I would!! If your vagina(internal)hurts, you should know why, rough sex, I would think. :)

So the doctor's visit today confirms a yeast infection.
Which unfortunately will take a few days to go away, so a few more days of pain.

Thanks for the help guys.

I know I was seeming difficult, like I was making up excuses but things really aren't as easy and just going to the doctor around here.

But I went and all is well.

Go to a doctor... best case you find out its nothing... but if it is it can be treated early before it gets worse. Oops... missed page 2 and saw you already went. Glad you found out it was something easlily treated.
