Hey, I am trying to organize my daughter's Christening in Milton Keynes. It will take place in a church and the after party is being held in my home. I need help on buffet food, what music to play(we are making some cd's-but bear in mind I am only 20 so I want to have heard of the music!), what sort of decorations should we have etc? Also, does anybody have a rough idea at how much a photographer might cost if I hired one for the day? And any other ideas you might have that could help or that you would think nice at a Christening. I would really appreciate any help that anyone could give. Thanks

While I respect your view points and desire to make this a social event of the year, I still believe they should be more sacred moments. Not turned into a circus.

As for music, remember you have guests of all types of interest, if you play music only you know many guests may not hear things they like.

Keep things simple. Organize caterer's for buffet, this way you don't have to prepare anything yourself. Photographer - see if a guest or two can do this for you! Music - should be mixed and soft. Do you have a christening gown, cake, invitations, god parents?

My son's christening cake had a photo of his face on the top - cute!
Good luck!
