I hope this isn't the same cat that had a stroke in February.

If she is a least a year old and has started goiing into heat and you let her outside or have a male cat living in the same home then yes she could be pregnant. But, if she has worms they can cause her belly to get round and swollen also they deplete her energy so she will eat more and probably sleep more because they are takng her energy.

If I were you I would take my cat to the vet to be on the safe side and for goodness sakes get her spayed.

No I am not special and I did not have a go at you. I answered your question and gave you a bit of helpful advice. Well actually I am special in a lot of cats lifes because I take care of them and get them spayed and don't destroy their bodies having litter after litter of kittens. If that upsets you I really could care less. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on a little humanity with animals.

Get your cat spayed, Do you realize how many cats die each year because they roam the streets trying to mate, getting into fights and coming down with infections. Getting hit by cars. Neibghbors get tired of hearing the fighting and posioning them.

Now I will tell you about the ones that are lucky to be placed in shelters, some get adopted. Some get injections and drift off to sleep never to wake up, some places gas them to death can you imagine being in a tank no way out and clawing and fighting for air. Even some places shoot them. Those are the lucky ones. Some places sell them for animal testing to be poked and jabbed and who knows what else for the rest of their lives.

Or you have no kill shelters that people help out by donating time and money to keep them running. No the governments don't fund those. Loving kind and caring people do.

So if you are upset because I told you to get your cat spayed I could careless. Grow up and be responsible. You make a difference in this world for the better or worse. Your choice

She is perfectly right!
You NEED to go get your cat spayed!
And for one: she wasn't going at you in the first place!

Dumbass. Don't go yelling at people when they try to help you.
And isn't it obvious if a cat is pregnant? Durr durr durr.

Guys, we're talking about the well-being of the cat here.
It's not always obvious they are pregnant until pretty far along in gestation. It is spring and cats are seasonal breeders, so if she is outdoors she has probably been in heat and probably is pregnant. Other things that could cause a swollen belly are parasites, a badly infected and distended uterus, and feline infectious peritonitis.
It would be in your best interest to take her to the vet. They can rule out the bad stuff, and make an educated guess about how soon the kittens are due so you can make preparations.
I agree about getting her spayed, but let's deal with the immediate problem.
