All about moving your body... if you walk at a brisk pace you can cover 4 miles in an hour.
A good diet is about radical things like a grapefruit diet... its about healthy eating. Cut out soda, watch out for snacks eaten because you are bored or stressed.
But really walking, running, biking, and swimming for an hour can start to change your metabolism and your body... the trick is you need to do it. Do it often. And stay with the program for a time.
It takes 6-8 weeks to develop a good habit. Don't expect big changes immediately. At first you might feel a little sore. Your body might struggle. A couple of weeks in your workout will feel easier and you'll feel stronger. Then in more time you change your workout again and then you'll start to see changes.
If you don't like the idea of running or walking, other things can work. Sports like basketball or just chasing a soccer ball around a field for a time. Hitting a tennis ball against a schoolyard wall. etc.
Do you know how much exercise you get from jumping rope? Sure... it remind you of little kids on the playground. Try it. Why do pro athletes jump rope? Its great cardio like running but easier on the legs.
